We have faced ongoing issues with JDAM availability for an extended period. Numerous discussions have explored various solutions, from personal to coalition-based limits. However, many of these solutions penalized individual players when facing multiple opponents. This imbalance led to frustration, especially when it became complex to communicate changes with limited feedback.
We acknowledge that there is no perfect solution, and this approach may not satisfy everyone. However, we believe the best course of action is to implement a Warehousing System to manage weapon availability more effectively and in a way that's easier to explain to players.
Weapons will now be categorized into specific groups:
Other weapons (e.g., APKWS, Mavericks, LGBs, rockets) will have unlimited stock. We aim to avoid imposing hard limits but must account for the power of fire-and-forget weapons combined with DCS limitations.
Additionally:
Current carriage limits will continue for the following:
This approach replaces previous ideas like AI fighters engaging helicopters after a certain time or introducing additional AI “heli-hunter” flights.
Base and objective defenses will also see enhancements through increased IR/AAA systems and cost reductions, offsetting weapon capabilities.
Each airbase/FARP will have a managed inventory of categorized weapons:
We will continue tweaking numbers to fine-tune balance.
Alongside the managed inventory, each warehouse will have an unmanaged stock for certain weapons:
-base
for the current base or -base bes
to check Beslan.Players can transport weapons between bases(Airbases & FARPS not Factories):
-cargo 4GPS,2SOW,2ARM
to load 4 GPS, 2 SOW, and 2 ARM weapons.-unload
to unload weapons at a base. Transported weapons become unmanaged stock and are unaffected by automatic system restocking.Note: If you cargo load and unload at the same base, weapons remain in managed stock to prevent abuse.
1. What if a player takes all the weapons and dies?
While this is an unfortunate side effect, the warehouse system provides greater control over weapon availability and PvE management. We will track player behavior and provide hints to those who trigger re-education thresholds.
2. How does this affect Fat Cows?
Fat Cows will only provide the weapons you have as cargo. For example, if you load 12 GPS weapons, that’s what will be available on your Fat Cow. Once a FARP despawns, any consumed or deposited weapons update your cargo count.
3. What if a base runs out of weapons?
You will always be able to depart from an unrestricted airbase with any weapon.
